The Sun Company Joins Forces with Long Duration Energy Storage National Consortium

We are thrilled to announce that The Sun Company Americas (TSC) has officially partnered with the newly established Long Duration Energy Storage National Consortium (LDES). This groundbreaking consortium, spearheaded by Sandia National Laboratories (Sandia) and its five esteemed National Laboratory partners - Argonne National Laboratory (ANL), Idaho National Laboratory (INL), National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) - was formed in October 2023.

The primary objective of the LDES is to serve as a collaborative platform, bringing together stakeholders from across the energy spectrum. Together, we aim to identify barriers, explore potential synergies, and collectively develop and implement strategies crucial for the commercialization of a diverse range of Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES) technologies over the next decade.
